Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing is soliciting a firm-fixed-price contractor to provide annual and as-needed maintenance for approximately 1,000 portable fire extinguishers at its main and annex facilities. The scope includes inspection and tagging, six-year teardown and maintenance of dry-chemical extinguishers, hydrostatic testing, continuity testing of applicable carbon-dioxide hoses, repairs, replacement of extinguishers and valves, plastic seal replacement, verification-of-service collars, and related labor, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, and materials. Services must comply with NFPA-10, OSHA requirements, and other applicable regulations. The contractor must be ICC/NAFED certified, and personnel must have at least three years of experience and meet applicable ICC/NAFED training requirements. The award will be made to the lowest-priced technically acceptable offeror with no adverse past performance. Contractor personnel require BEP security processing or escort access, and quotations must include technical capability, firm-fixed pricing for the base year and four option years, required offeror representations and certifications, and personnel qualification and background-check information without prohibited personally identifiable information. An optional site visit is scheduled for October 15, 2026.
