Description
The Capitol Region Purchasing Council is soliciting bids for personal protective clothing and protective headgear, footwear, gloves, and related accessories for structural firefighting. Required offerings include NFPA-compliant protective coats and pants, insulated bunker boots, hoods, gloves, and helmets, with applicable OSHA and other specified standards. The bidder must identify all exceptions to the specifications and provide catalog discounts for custom-order turnout gear and related garments or accessories not specifically highlighted in the invitation. The manufacturer must provide certification and warranty information, labeling and traceability capabilities, user and maintenance information, repair and alteration support, and required helmet and garment documentation. The awarded vendor must be a Connecticut-authorized dealer, measure firefighters for proper fit when requested, and make products available for orders from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027. Deliveries are generally required within 45 days after receipt of an order. Responses must include the completed company questionnaire and required Bonfire questionnaire responses, including references and any exception documentation.
