Description
Fayetteville State University’s Facilities Management Department is soliciting bids for the purchase and shipping of medium-voltage pad-mounted switch equipment for its campuswide utility infrastructure package. The package includes air-insulated four-way pad-mounted switches and a six-way solid-dielectric pad-mounted switch. The six-way unit will include one utility-input load-break switch and five fault-interrupter ways for campus distribution protection. The vendor must provide approved equipment, shipping to the university campus or an agreed-upon North Carolina bonded warehouse, pallets for storage, product data, factory testing data, shop drawings, wiring diagrams, material test reports, operation and maintenance data, nameplates, ratings, factory labels, and connection diagrams. Offloading, installation, field testing, commissioning, medium-voltage distribution cables, cable accessories, and other expressly excluded items are not part of the vendor’s responsibility. Equal products from alternative manufacturers may be considered if they meet the specifications, but all equipment within an individual line item must come from one manufacturer. The 120-calendar-day delivery requirement has been waived; bidders must still state a maximum delivery period, and delivery promptness may affect award. A manufacturer authorization letter or equivalent authorization documentation is required where applicable. Electronic bids are required through the university’s Bonfire portal.
