Description
Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park is soliciting a contractor for Phase 2 construction of the Woodstock/Old Court trail system at Patapsco Valley State Park. The scope includes approximately 45,000 linear feet of natural-surface shared-use trail, including approximately 3.2 miles of green/KASA-specification trail and 5.1 miles of blue singletrack trail, modifications to existing trails, corridor clearing, detailed layout, construction, finishing, cleanup, erosion-control compliance, and decommissioning approximately 2.6 miles of existing trail. The contractor must construct five bridges in accordance with approved Maryland Park Service plans, procure and mobilize bridge materials, provide specialized trail-construction equipment, and submit a project approach, timeline, equipment list, company information, and at least three relevant project references. The contract is a unit-price, not-to-exceed contract with an 18–24-month duration; all work must be completed by June 30, 2028. Performance and payment bonds are required after award when the bid exceeds $25,000, and the solicitation specifies commercial general liability, professional liability, crime/employee theft, workers’ compensation, and automobile or commercial truck insurance requirements.
