Description
Orange County OC Public Works is soliciting bids from pre-qualified contractors for roadway, drainage, and erosion-control improvements along Modjeska Grade Road, from Santiago Canyon Road to Santiago Creek Bridge. The work includes pavement reconstruction; concrete ditches, inlets, junction structures, storm drain lines, and retaining walls; guardrail removal and installation; erosion-control measures; utility and appurtenance adjustments; traffic striping; signs; fencing; hydroseeding; and related roadway construction. The estimated contract amount is $17,800,000. The project requires a California Class A contractor's license, at least six similar projects completed within the last 10 years, self-performance of at least 51% of the base bid amount, a 10% bid security, and compliance with prevailing-wage, labor-registration, environmental, safety, and stormwater requirements. Only contractors that completed the first-step prequalification process may submit bids.
