Description
The City of Wichita is soliciting bids for LED traffic signal lamp modules for its Public Works and Utilities Department, Streets Division. The requested equipment includes 12-inch red, amber, and green circular modules; 12-inch amber and green arrow modules; 5.5-inch red, yellow, and green programmable-signal LEDs; and 16-by-18-inch pedestrian hand/walk countdown modules. Products must be retrofit-compatible with existing signal housings, meet applicable Institute of Transportation Engineers and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices standards, and satisfy specified electrical, optical, environmental, durability, and quality-assurance requirements. Bidders must provide pricing for the stipulated items and supporting product documentation, including independent laboratory test reports where required, installation information, warranty compliance documentation, and shipment certification documentation. The contract is for one year, with two one-year renewal options by mutual agreement. Award will be based on the lowest and best total net bid from a responsible and responsive vendor.
