Description
The City of Sandy Springs is soliciting a contractor to construct approximately 340 linear feet of six-foot-wide sidewalk with a two-foot landscape strip near Dunwoody Road and Spalding Drive, connecting to the existing sidewalk at the City of Dunwoody limits. The work includes grading, concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveway and valley-gutter work, pavement markings, signage, utility adjustments and coordination, erosion and sediment control, sod and landscaping, tree protection, and maintenance of traffic. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, traffic control, permits, and related construction means. The prime contractor must perform at least 51% of the work, and subcontractors must be Georgia Department of Transportation prequalified or registered. The contract provides for a 60-calendar-day period to achieve substantial completion after the Notice to Proceed, followed by 21 days for final completion. A traffic control plan is due at least two weeks before work requiring traffic control, and bonds are required if the bid exceeds $100,000.
