Description
Gettysburg Borough is soliciting sealed bids for repairs to the East Water Street Bridge over Stevens Run. The work includes replacing three steel bridge girders and portions of the existing concrete bridge deck and sidewalk, along with related excavation, structural backfill, asphalt, concrete, reinforcement steel, waterproofing, scupper work, pedestrian railing removal and replacement, construction surveying, traffic control, erosion and sedimentation control, and site restoration. The project also requires demolition planning, structural steel fabrication and installation, bridge repair coordination, and compliance with PennDOT Publication 408, Pennsylvania prevailing-wage requirements, Buy America and steel-product requirements, and applicable environmental permits. Bids must include a 5% bid bond or certified check, evidence of qualifications when requested, a non-collusion affidavit, a subcontractor and supplier tabulation, and a Public Works Employment Verification Form. The estimated contract value is $255,000, and the contract time is 210 calendar days after the Contract Time commences. Performance and payment bonds, insurance, and additional contract-security documents are required from the successful bidder under the contract documents.
