The Virginia Department of General Services is soliciting one 50-pound plastic bag of magnesium chloride-based pellets, crystals, or flakes for melting snow and ice from streets and walkways. The product must have retail labeling and UPC bar coding, contain no additives, and conform to the specified magnesium chloride chemical-composition ranges. Other chemical formulations within the stated magnesium chloride range may be considered.
