Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for domestic sources of four uninterruptible power supply units for pharmaceutical refrigerators: three Type One units rated at least 2,000 watts with 4,000-watt surge capacity, and one Type Two unit rated at least 3,000 watts with 6,000-watt surge capacity. The units must be made in America, provide pure sine wave output, operate at single-phase 120 VAC and 60 Hz, support 88 hours of runtime for the specified refrigerator sizes, and include at least two 120V NEMA 5-20 duplex receptacles. Additional requirements include indoor healthcare-environment operation, less than 20 milliseconds of automatic transfer time, compatibility with a standard 120 VAC, 20-amp circuit, and NEMA 5-20P connection or equivalent. The three Type One units must be wall-mountable and fit within the stated dimensional limits. Respondents must provide company and contact information, SAM UEI, product information documenting the salient characteristics, socioeconomic status, place of manufacture, and other pertinent company documentation. This is a Sources Sought notice for market research, not a solicitation for proposals, and no contract will be awarded from the notice.
