Description
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity, on behalf of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to DNA Script Inc. for one benchtop DNA synthesizer system. The system must automate oligonucleotide synthesis, quantification, and normalization; support high-throughput production and labeling with fluorophores, quenchers, and biotin; operate with water-based reagents without specialized gas or environmental controls; provide standalone console software and traceable data management; support data export; and meet specified dimensional, electrical, safety, and performance requirements. The requirement also includes four years of preventative maintenance support, method validation, on-site and off-site operator training, on-site startup support, and on-site preventative and corrective maintenance for previously used biocontainment-laboratory analyzers following decontamination. The notice is a sole-source notice rather than an RFQ; interested alternative vendors must submit a capability statement demonstrating the ability to meet all minimum essential characteristics.
