Description
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide design-build services for the new construction of Glenn Dale Splash Park at 11901 Glenn Dale Boulevard, Glenn Dale, Maryland. The scope includes design, permitting, demolition, construction, commissioning, and project closeout. The facility will include aquatic recreation features such as a lazy river, zero-entry lagoon, leisure pool, spray ground, play structure, water slides and slide tower, along with bathhouses, pool equipment and filtration systems, check-in and office facilities, accessible changing facilities, shade structures, outdoor showers, drinking fountains, accessible circulation, landscaping, parking improvements, security and audiovisual infrastructure, and connections to the WB&A Trail. The project must address accessibility, Maryland adult-changing-table requirements, sustainability requirements including minimum LEED Silver certification, and public-art coordination. The total project budget may not exceed $15,000,000. Substantial completion is required within 919 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, followed by an additional 60 calendar days for project completion.
