Description
The Michigan Department of Corrections is seeking a state-hosted commercial off-the-shelf or SaaS heavy equipment simulation solution to support vocational training. The solution must provide an immersive user experience with screens, controls, seats, and scenarios that emulate various equipment types and operating settings. Mandatory requirements include an instructor station, operation without an internet connection, collaboration with correctional staff on hardware and software security, and an integrated learning management system or similar platform. The scope includes hardware, software, installation, configuration, maintenance and support, administration and end-user training, implementation, documentation, system acceptance testing, and transition support. The State expects the solution to support approximately 40–50 trainee users and two state employee administrator users, and requires the vendor to complete the provided response worksheets, resume templates, pricing schedule, security and accessibility responses, and related proposal forms. On-site installation and initial setup at the correctional facility are required; remote installation cannot be relied upon.
