Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture requires a contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and supplies to remove and replace existing windows in Building 13 (Barn) at its Honeybee Breeding, Genetics & Physiology Research facility. The replacement windows must be energy-efficient, match the style and appearance of windows previously installed in Buildings 11 and 22, and be installed plumb, level, weather-tight, and in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. The scope includes eight 3-foot by 3-foot windows and one 2-foot by 2-foot window on the south elevation, plus two 5-foot by 3-foot windows and four 3-foot by 3-foot windows on the north elevation. The contractor must inspect and verify site conditions and dimensions, provide written material specifications, manage construction and safety, remove debris, protect government property and operations, coordinate inspections, and provide daily work reports. The quotation must include a completed and signed SF 1442, a price proposal, and a technical proposal containing a work plan, subcontracting information, resources, site-specific safety plan, key personnel information, performance schedule, and three similar completed projects from the last three years. The work is a firm-fixed-price construction requirement, with completion required within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed.
