The U.S. Air Force is soliciting qualified sources for 107 oxygen tank assemblies used in the AGM-86 Air Launched Cruise Missile. The assemblies provide metered gaseous oxygen during high-altitude engine starts and subsequent acceleration. The solicitation identifies manufacturer part numbers 36200111 and 2311368, NSN 1336-01-128-7253, and DODIC KY93, and restricts the requirement to qualified sources, including Meggitt Safety Systems, Inc. and Tavco, Inc.; new sources may submit qualification information but must be qualified before award. The solicitation offers an alternate first-article bid. The first-article-required option includes 19 first-article units, first-article testing and inspection, and associated reporting before production delivery; the first-article-not-required option covers 107 production units. Both options require compliance with ISO 9001:2015, critical-safety-item controls, qualification and production testing, lot acceptance testing, ammunition data cards, unique item identification and CAD/PAD marking, hazardous-material handling, military packaging, shipment documentation, and applicable contract data requirements. The proposal must include pricing, a schedule with a work breakdown structure and milestones, a signed solicitation and completed applicable representations and certifications. The production quantity is due by 2027-10-31; the first-article option lists a 12-month delivery requirement after contract award.
