Description
The University of British Columbia is soliciting a semi-automated aseptic filling and closing system for small-batch production, clinical manufacturing, research, and potentially small-scale commercial pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical applications. The system will be installed within an isolator in Room 5103 of the Advanced Therapy Manufacturing Facility on the Vancouver campus and must support vials, syringes, and cartridges. Required modules include filling with a peristaltic dosing pump, stoppering, and sealing or crimping, with format tooling, in-process fill verification, sensors, PLC-based controls, HMI functionality, data acquisition, alarms, recipe management, audit trails, and secure user access. The equipment must be suitable for Grade A aseptic processing within a Grade C cleanroom environment, use single-use or cleanable product-contact components, and meet specified pharmaceutical, GMP, hygienic-design, electrical, and data-integrity requirements. The scope includes supply, installation, integration, factory and site acceptance testing, startup and commissioning support, training, warranty and service support, spare parts, shipping, and extensive technical, validation, operating, maintenance, and qualification documentation. Proponents must provide pricing in Canadian dollars, identify exceptions and deviations, complete the Technical Bid Analysis in editable Excel format, and submit three comparable client references. The procurement is subject to Chapter Five (Government Procurement) of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement, and the lowest-priced compliant quotation will be awarded the contract. The closing date is October 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time; questions are due October 14, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Documents and submissions are handled through the University of British Columbia's Bonfire portal.
