HACLA seeks a qualified, licensed elevator contractor to modernize a three-story hydraulic elevator, including replacement of controllers, hoistway equipment, door operators, related hardware, and ADA-compliant fixtures and safety features. The scope includes engineering, programming, permits, inspections, testing, and an optional interior cab renovation. Contractors must hold a C-11 Elevator Contractor license and comply with applicable codes and public works requirements. Following modernization, the contractor will provide monthly preventive maintenance, 24/7 live-operator telephone emergency assistance, annual and five-year testing, and as-needed repairs. The maintenance scope includes parts coverage for components worn through normal use, maintenance reports, and a maximum two-hour response time for service requests. Quotes must include the completed Quote Form and Non-Collusion Declaration; the List of Subcontractors is required if applicable. The selected contractor must provide insurance certificates and endorsements before contract execution and a payment bond equal to 100% of the modernization award before purchase order issuance or within five days of a bond request, whichever occurs first.
