Description
The City of Trenton Department of Housing and Economic Development is soliciting sealed bids for holiday-light installation on 14 trees along South Warren Street between State Street and Lafayette Street. The contractor must supply the lighting, materials, and equipment; wrap tree trunks to heights of up to 30 feet; use existing streetlamps as the power source; provide safe, code-compliant connections; and remove the lighting after the season. The contractor is responsible for damage caused during installation or removal, while storm, vandalism, animal, and theft damage is excluded from both parties' liability. Installation is expected to begin in November and removal in February, with dates coordinated with the City. The contract term is one year from award, with an option for one additional year. Bidders must submit an installation strategy and workflow, safety and tree-protection measures, power-access logistics, a communication plan, project schedules, a detailed fee proposal for the base and option years, and three references for holiday-lighting work. The bid package also requires numerous completed municipal forms and certifications, including the proposal form, addenda acknowledgment, ownership disclosure, non-collusion affidavit, affirmative-action materials, ethics disclosure, and resident-employment policy.
