Description
The contractor must provide all plant, labor, equipment, transportation, and tools required to complete a full replacement of electrical components in the Airfield Lighting Vault at Columbus Air Force Base. Work includes demolition of existing main distribution panels, subpanels, and circuit selectors; furnishing and installing new 277/480V 800A main distribution panel, 277/480V panel-R, 120/240V panels, and seven new circuit selectors compatible with existing Constant Current Regulators and airfield lighting control system. The contractor must also perform fault current calculations, evaluate phase rotation and load balancing, and conduct startup testing including Megger testing and operational testing through all five steps of intensity. The project has a magnitude between $250,000 and $500,000, and the period of performance is 270 days after notice to proceed. Work must be performed without interrupting flying operations, including after-hours work.
