Description
The City of New Bern Public Works Department is soliciting unit-price bids for the GO Bond Paving, FY-27 W1 P1 project. The work covers milling existing asphalt and placing approximately two inches of Type S9.5B asphalt concrete on Pollock Street, North Craven Street, Princess Street, Eden Street, Crescent Street, Guion Street, Bern Street, and River Drive. The estimated bid schedule includes 45,533 square yards of milling and grading, 486 tons of aggregate base course, 5,060 tons of asphalt surface course, thermoplastic pavement markings, mobilization and bonding, and maintenance of traffic. The contractor must provide traffic control, erosion control, cleanup, utility coordination, access to businesses and residences, a current North Carolina general contractor license, and bid security of at least five percent of the proposal. The contract time is 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Performance and payment bonds, insurance, and other contract requirements apply after award or before work begins as specified in the contract documents.
