Description
The Village of Waterford is soliciting a contractor to remove and replace the Waterford Library’s existing shingle and rubber roofing systems. The work includes demolition and disposal of existing roofing, flashing, coping, gutters, downspouts, and flat-roof insulation; inspection and recommendations for roof-deck, pitch-pocket, scupper, and insulation repairs; installation of R-21 or greater insulation, aluminum flashing, gutters and downspouts, ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, 50-year asphalt dimensional shingles, 60-mil EPDM roofing, and code-compliant ventilation. The project is divided into two phases: the shingled roof and north flat roof are to be completed by December 10, 2026, while the south flat roof is scheduled for spring 2027 in coordination with an HVAC replacement project. Bidders must inspect and measure the site before submitting a proposal and must provide similar-project references, a detailed cost proposal, and a draft contract. Additive alternates cover aluminum soffit-panel repairs and additional south-roof work involving rooftop-unit relocation and a ladder hatch. A bid bond or certified check of at least 5% of the bid is required, and the awarded contractor must provide full-amount performance and payment bonds.
