Description
The City of Douglas is soliciting sealed bids for sanitary sewer and wastewater treatment plant improvements. The work includes replacing approximately 630 linear feet of 8-inch SDR35 PVC sanitary sewer pipe and 1,250 linear feet of 36-inch SDR35 PVC interceptor sewer main, with new manholes and sewer services, bypass pumping capable of 1,000 gallons per minute, asphalt and concrete repairs, alley resurfacing, grading, seeding, and mulching. The project also includes replacing concrete catwalks at the wastewater treatment plant, installing water-monitoring equipment with SCADA and electrical integration, replacing screw-pump bearings, dredging and land-applying biosolids from Cell 3, replacing fencing and installing an electric sliding cantilever gate with induction sensor loops, and replacing HDPE floating air laterals and diffuser sleeves in the aerated lagoons. Bids must use the Bid Form and include bid security of at least 5% of the bid amount; the successful bidder must furnish additional performance bonds as required by the bidding documents.
