Description
The County of Orange Sheriff-Coroner is soliciting bids for the fabrication and installation of custom prisoner-containment systems for four transportation vans. The scope includes custom front, middle-row, and rear partitions; cages, dividers, shelving, Lexan panels, under-seat protection, door panels, window protection, steps, overhead consoles, air-duct and light covers, electronics boards, and related custom metal fabrication. The contractor must also install specified lighting, siren and air-horn equipment, gun racks and lock timers, circuit breakers, fuse blocks, receptacles, backup alarms, anti-theft and secure-idle systems, tow mirrors, rear-door locks, coat hangers, seatbelt signs, and other job materials. The contractor will perform the installation at its facility, provide labor and necessary materials, accommodate County-supplied equipment including camera components, and provide training if deemed necessary. Bids must be submitted electronically through the County's online bidding system; the solicitation requires references and numerous supplier-response certifications and forms.
