Description
The City of Delta seeks qualified archaeological firms for a shortlist to provide services on an as-requested basis through December 31, 2029. Potential work includes serving as the designated archaeologist; reviewing plans and studies; obtaining provincial and First Nations permits; conducting archaeological overview assessments, preliminary field reconnaissance, impact assessments, monitoring, and reporting; handling artifacts and features; coordinating with First Nations and regulators; and providing staff training. The City may invite shortlisted firms to compete for specific projects, and does not guarantee a volume of future work. Responses must demonstrate relevant qualifications and experience, including permit eligibility, work with First Nations and regulatory bodies, field and infrastructure experience, and at least three similar projects, with references readily available for at least three. Proposals must also describe the proposed methodology and provide firm hourly and lump-sum rates through December 31, 2029. Fees are to exclude GST; the City will pay applicable provincial and First Nations permit fees.
