Description
The City of Newport Beach is soliciting a contractor to complete its FY 2026–27 Concrete Replacement Program and Hospital Road Sidewalk Improvements. Work includes demolition and reconstruction of concrete sidewalks, parkways, driveways, access ramps, cross gutters, curb drains, curbs and gutters; full-depth asphalt pavement; subgrade preparation; utility coordination, adjustment, and relocation; traffic striping and signage; temporary traffic control and access; tree removal, stump grinding, root pruning, grading, clearing, and grubbing; restoration of private improvements; landscaping and irrigation improvements; survey-marker restoration; and as-built plans. The estimated bid value is $1,925,000, with a 90-consecutive-working-day performance period. The contractor must hold a Class A or C-8 license, use a California Licensed Land Surveyor and ISA Certified Arborist as subcontractors, and provide at least five qualifying public-agency reference projects. The bid requires a 10% bidder’s bond; the successful contractor must provide 100% payment and performance bonds. Work is subject to California prevailing-wage, Department of Industrial Relations registration, public-works compliance monitoring, and specified insurance requirements.
