Description
The Selma City Board of Education is soliciting sealed bids from qualified general contractors for four projects: renovation of the School of Discovery kitchen, including selective demolition and new kitchen equipment, hood, serving line, and cooler/freezer; HVAC replacement at Payne Elementary School, including two units and one gas package unit; HVAC replacement at Meadowview Elementary School, including replacement of one heat pump and installation of two new heat pumps; and HVAC replacement at Selma High School and Edgewood Elementary School, including five units at the high school and three wall-mounted units plus one rooftop unit serving the elementary school kitchen. Bids must use the proposal forms furnished by the architect or copies of those forms. A cashier’s check or bid bond of at least 5% of the proposal amount, capped at $10,000, must accompany each project bid. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance are required at contract signing, not with the bid. Bids are due at separate times on October 22, 2026; mailed bids must be presented at the bid opening, and bidders must notify the awarding authority if mailing a bid. The general contractor’s license number must appear on the outside of the sealed envelope when a license is required.
