Description
The City of Montebello is soliciting a lump-sum bid for renovation of its Senior Center basement. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals for demolition and construction, including removal and disposal of existing flooring, walls, doors, windows, plumbing and electrical fixtures, ceilings, HVAC components, partitions, and kitchen and restroom finishes. New work includes interior walls, flooring, doors, windows, lockers, drinking fountains, restroom partitions and fixtures, kitchen cabinets, appliances and countertops, plumbing and electrical systems, lighting, signage, ceilings, HVAC registers, ductwork, and exhaust fans, along with site, traffic-control, surveying, material-testing, and restoration work. Project documents identify asbestos-, lead-, mold-, mercury-, PCB-, and other hazardous materials requiring appropriate licensed abatement, removal, packaging, monitoring, and disposal before or during renovation. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, a project labor agreement, California Class A contractor licensing, Department of Industrial Relations registration, and self-performance requirements. The engineer's estimate is $1,185,581, and the stated construction duration is 75 working days from the Notice to Proceed.
