Description
The New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities seeks one grantee for a four-year Customized Employment Initiative focused on identifying and eliminating gaps in customized employment services across New York State. The project will assess fidelity to customized-employment principles among selected service providers, evaluate organizational and business-partner culture, and develop individualized intermediate-level training, technical assistance, tools, fidelity scales, and implementation resources. The grantee will coordinate with a pre-established state-agency advisory committee, support high-performing providers in mentoring other providers, strengthen relationships with businesses hiring people with developmental disabilities, develop a community of practice, and produce a shareable sustainability guide. The grant provides up to $350,000 per year for four years, subject to funding availability, with a required minimum 34% non-federal match. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, public or private institutions, disability-service and community-based organizations, tribal organizations, and consortia; the lead applicant may not be for-profit. Applications must be submitted through the Statewide Financial System, and nonprofit applicants must be registered and prequalified by the deadline.
