GENESEE COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE Bid # 2026-15 The Genesee County Purchasing Director will receive sealed bids for Bid# 2026-15 for Randall Road over Oatka Creek Feeder Culvert Replacement. Specifications and proposal form may be downloaded at https://vendors.planetbids.com/portal/71274/portal-home Vendors will need to register before downloading. Questions regarding this bid may be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Office, 15 Main Street, Batavia, NY 14020, or donna.longhini@geneseeny.gov, Monday through Friday, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm no later than 12:00 pm on: 10/13/2026 Sealed bids must be in the possession of the Genesee County Purchasing Department, County Building No.1, 15 Main Street, Room 317A, Batavia, New York 14020, no later than: Friday, October 23, 2026 prior to 11:00 a.m. prevailing time at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read. All bids must be accompanied by a non-collusion statement in order to be considered. Genesee County reserves the right to forego any formalities and reject any or all bids. Woman and Minority owned businesses are encouraged to submit. Genesee County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Description
Genesee County is soliciting sealed bids for removal of the existing Randall Road bridge and replacement with a precast three-sided concrete frame structure supported on cast-in-place footings. The work includes precast concrete box culvert and wingwall installation, bridge and box-beam railings, waterproofing, excavation and embankment, roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, streambed work, erosion and sediment controls, utility coordination, and associated highway approach work. Construction will occur on the existing alignment with an off-site detour and temporary traffic-control measures. The project has a 150-day duration and must be substantially complete and open to traffic by November 19, 2027. Bidders must submit the specified bid forms, certifications, bid bond, insurance documentation, references, and one original plus one copy of the bid package. The solicitation requires a 5% bid bond and 100% payment and performance bonds, and includes prevailing-wage, federal-funding, safety, and insurance requirements. Updated subcontracting goals are a 6% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business goal, 8% Minority-Owned Business goal, 7% Woman-Owned Business goal, and 0% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal.
