Description
The County of Orange Sheriff-Coroner is soliciting bids for frozen or chilled liquid egg mix, kosher hard-cooked cage-free eggs, pasteurized kosher egg whites, and miscellaneous egg-related products. Products must meet specified USDA, California, food-safety, cage-free, kosher, packaging, labeling, freshness, temperature, and shelf-life requirements. The contractor must provide order confirmations, delivery documentation, invoices, refrigerated transportation, replacement of rejected products within 24 hours, and deliveries generally within seven calendar days of order placement. Bids must be submitted electronically through the County's online bidding system. The solicitation requires completion of the portal's supplier-response sections and submission of specified certifications, business information, references, and forms, including a debarment certification, non-collusion declaration, Levine Act campaign contribution disclosure, California Secretary of State documentation, references, and a current W-9. Insurance certificates and endorsements are required after award rather than with the bid. The initial contract term is three calendar years beginning May 3, 2027, with no guaranteed usage; pricing is based on a fixed percentage markup over the manufacturer's or wholesaler's price.
