Description
Reading School District is requesting proposals for 100% fiber-based Wide Area Network services serving 26 district buildings. The scope includes 56 fiber strands of leased dark fiber; 26 lit-fiber connections with capacities from 25 Gbps to 100 Gbps; and Category One maintenance and operations for those connections. Installation and initial configuration are included in the service requests, while network electronics needed to light a dark-fiber network are excluded. Vendors must provide pricing for 10-year, 15-year, and 20-year terms, with up to 24 months of optional month-to-month extensions. Proposals must comply with applicable E-rate requirements, use a single SPIN, disclose taxes and surcharges, and identify any proprietary information along with a redacted copy. Personnel performing on-site work must obtain Pennsylvania Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances before beginning work.
