Palm Beach County is soliciting bids for a countywide continuing-services construction contract to provide pavement marking work on an as-needed, work-order basis. The scope includes furnishing and installing extruded thermoplastic pavement markings, traffic paint, preformed cold plastic, raised reflective pavement markers, bike-lane markings, arrows and roadway messages, thermoplastic rumble strips, contrast tape, flexible delineators, foil-backed tape, and related materials. The contract also includes removal of existing traffic paint, thermoplastic, cold plastic, construction tape, and pavement markers. Maintenance of traffic, mobilization, layout, labor, equipment, materials, and transportation are generally incidental to the unit prices. Work orders may be issued countywide, with no guaranteed minimum quantity of work; individual work orders will specify the location, not-to-exceed cost, and performance schedule. The contract expires 18 months after Board approval and may be extended by mutual written agreement for a total contract time not exceeding 36 months. Contractors must be FDOT-certified in pavement marking or submit the required qualifications and experience package, and must perform at least 40% of the total contract amount with their own organization.
