Description
The State of Delaware, Office of Management and Budget, Division of Facilities Management is soliciting a single-prime construction contract to demolish and replace the generator and automated transfer switches serving the Prickett Building. The work includes providing a temporary generator during replacement, a new natural-gas-fired 250 kW standby generator at 480Y/277 V, a 600-ampere automatic transfer switch, generator controls and remote annunciation, building automation system integration, natural-gas piping, electrical distribution work, grounding, surge protection, lightning protection, structural work, demolition, finishes, testing, commissioning, and personnel training. The bid requires 10% bid security. After award, the contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting to be eligible to bid. Required submission materials include the Bid Form, Bid Bond, subcontractor list, non-collusion statement, affidavit of employee drug testing program, and affidavit of contractor qualifications. The project includes prevailing-wage requirements, a two-year general warranty, specified insurance coverage, and closeout, operations-and-maintenance, testing, and commissioning deliverables.
