Description
San Diego Metropolitan Transit System is soliciting bids for a five-year weed abatement program on San Diego Trolley, Inc. properties. The contractor must provide pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicide applications on track roadbeds, rights-of-way, sidings, yards, substations, parking areas, storage lots, and other designated off-track locations, including follow-up treatments and re-treatment as necessary to achieve the specified weed-control results. The work requires licensed and qualified personnel, herbicide application equipment, hi-rail and off-track vehicles, night-time on-track operations, inspections, calibration, chemical records, safety data sheets, environmental compliance, and coordination with MTS representatives. Bidders must price all bid-form line items for five years, including on-track, off-track, and optional chemical applications. The solicitation requires submission of the provided bid form and numerous certifications, licenses, fleet documentation, subcontractor information, references, and other required forms.
