Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is seeking eight reusable instant heat packs, NSN 6515-01-504-6096, unit of issue each. The packs must gain up to 115 degrees in temperature, contain a vinegar-and-salt solution with a catalytic metal plate to initiate the thermal reaction, and be reactivatable by immersion in boiling water after accidental freezing. The quotation must identify the source and part number offered. Alternate products require complete technical data describing the requested and offered products; alternate offers without the required technical data will not be evaluated. The item is FDA-regulated, and applicable registration, listing, labeling, and good manufacturing practice requirements apply. Packaging must comply with ASTM D3951 unless superseded by DLA requirements, and marking and labeling must comply with MIL-STD-129 and the Medical Marking Standard No. 1. Delivery is FOB destination, with a five-day delivery requirement after award, to the specified military receiving location.
