Description
The San Diego Housing Commission is soliciting proposals for on-call relocation consulting services for tenants on an as-needed, emergency, or scheduled basis. The contractor will serve as the primary point of contact among hotels, residents, property management, and asset management staff; assess household needs; secure and coordinate hotel accommodations; obtain three competitive hotel quotes within five miles of each resident's home; confirm rates, taxes, and authorized fees; and coordinate specialized requirements such as medical equipment, accessibility, pets, and kitchen or kitchenette needs. The contractor will also coordinate moving and storage logistics when requested, including move-out, move-back, interim moves, reminders, and check-in/check-out instructions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining an editable relocation tracking system, providing weekly activity reports and anticipated return dates, meeting weekly with Commission staff, maintaining 24-hour availability seven days per week, coordinating hotel issues and extensions, and submitting invoices within 30 days of service. Proposers must demonstrate relevant experience serving diverse and vulnerable populations and provide at least three client references for similar relocation consultant services. The solicitation includes a cost proposal with labor rates, direct and reimbursable costs, and optional services.
