Description
The opportunity offers a scale-based timber sale licence for an estimated 11,897 cubic metres of coniferous timber across four blocks, with Douglas fir making up most of the estimated volume. The successful applicant pays stumpage and the bonus bid offered; the highest eligible bonus bid is selected. The licence term is 12 months, beginning when the Timber Sales Manager signs the agreement, and may be extended subject to the Forest Act. The licensee is responsible for harvesting and associated waste assessments, and may need to construct, maintain, deactivate, or rehabilitate roads under the licence and related permits. Work must comply with the applicable forest-management, environmental, and safety requirements, including recognized safety certification for those directing workers. Applicants must be registered BC timber sales enterprises in the eligible categories; the application form and bonus bid are required, and a bid deposit is required only if requested by the Timber Sales Manager.
