Description
This public works IFB seeks a C-10 licensed contractor to electrify the shoreside of the Treasure Island Ferry Terminal. The work extends from the existing utility tie-in point to the end of the fixed pier and includes site preparation and demolition, trenching, underground electrical conduits and conductors, concrete equipment pads, installation of owner-furnished transformer and switchgear, grounding, utility coordination, testing, commissioning, site restoration, and coordination with a separately procured waterside contractor. The contractor must provide a turnkey design-build construction service, including final engineering and construction documents, permits and approvals, labor, materials, equipment, environmental compliance, quality control, testing, training, warranties, and closeout documentation. The terminal must remain operational during construction to the maximum extent practicable. The contract requires a California C-10 license, at least five years of similar California experience, prevailing-wage compliance, California Department of Industrial Relations registration, a 100% payment bond, and a faithful-performance bond equal to 25% of the total bid price.
