Description
The City of Richardson is seeking qualifications from professional service firms to prepare a new Unified Development Code. The selected consultant will consolidate, modernize, and coordinate the City's zoning, subdivision and platting, development, signage, and related development-review regulations into a clear, user-friendly, and administrable document. The project includes reviewing and coordinating existing customized form-based and planned-development districts, including the Caruth Properties, Bush Central Station, and CityLine East Planned Development districts, as well as the Town of Buckingham Ordinance. Respondents must acknowledge Addendum No. 1 by signing and returning it with the submission. The anticipated work remains a phased, approximately 18- to 24-month effort involving diagnostic assessment, technical drafting, public and stakeholder engagement, testing, legal coordination, adoption support, implementation materials, and limited post-adoption assistance. The anticipated budget is approximately $900,000, and fees are not requested with the qualifications submission.
