Description
The Bureau of Land Management is soliciting a single firm-fixed-price contract for 650 tons of 2026-harvest, domestically grown, weed-free alfalfa hay and 50 tons of weed-free grass hay. Alfalfa must be supplied in 3-by-4-by-8-foot bales, while grass hay must be supplied in small two- or three-string bales. Hay must be leafy, green, well cured, properly stored or covered, free of dust, mold, heating, weeds, and weather damage, and suitable for uniform stacking. The contractor must deliver the hay between November 1 and November 30, 2026, and is responsible for unloading and stacking it at the destination. The contractor must provide certified weight tickets and, three workdays before shipment, furnish the anticipated shipment date, total tonnage, and carrier information. Quotations must include a cover letter, completed and signed SF 1449, amendment acknowledgments if applicable, a commercial quote schedule, and a technical package without pricing information. Award will use a lowest-price technically acceptable approach, and the quotation must remain valid for at least 60 days.
