Description
The Town of Middlebury is soliciting sealed competitive bids for a new 2026 Class 3 regular-cab dump-body truck. Minimum requirements include a 14,000-pound GVWR, two-door regular cab, two-wheel drive, automatic transmission with tow/haul, dual rear wheels, backup camera, tow-style mirrors, undercoating, heavy-duty battery and charging system, electric brake controller, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and other specified cab, chassis, body, safety, and convenience features. A parts and maintenance manual must be included at delivery. Bids must include manufacturers' catalogs, operating manuals and specifications, a completed copy of the bid specifications and bid response form, detailed warranty coverage, deviations or omissions, build time and delivery schedule, and information and pricing for emissions and fuel-efficiency options. Hybrid and electric models may be submitted as separate bids. Bidders must also provide a trade-in value, at the Town's option, for a 2016 Ford F350 2WD dump-body truck. Pricing must remain guaranteed for 90 days from bid opening.
