Description

Escambia County is soliciting construction of a new transit operations complex through seven bid lots: an administration building, vehicle maintenance building, passenger transfer center, bus wash, fuel station, site/civil work, and a complete-complex bid. The project includes associated architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, communications, security, and life-safety systems, along with testing, commissioning, training, warranties, and closeout documentation. The maintenance facility includes bus and small-vehicle service bays, fluid distribution systems, and maintenance equipment infrastructure; the bus wash includes wash equipment coordination and related utility systems; and the fuel station includes fuel-system piping, monitoring, controls, and emergency shutoffs. Bidders may submit pricing by individual lot or for the complete complex. The bid package requires a 5% bid security and includes a range of bid forms, certifications, business credentials, insurance evidence, federal Section 3 materials, and a proposed subcontractor list.
