Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business to provide comprehensive inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and emergency and non-emergency corrective repair services for approximately 85 automatic doors at the Omaha and Grand Island VA medical centers. The contractor must furnish labor, materials, equipment, replacement parts as required, quarterly preventive maintenance, written PDF reports, repair assessments, and itemized quotes for large-scale repairs before work begins. Services include maintaining and restoring automatic sliding and swinging doors and operators from multiple manufacturers, including Besam, Assa Abloy, Dorma Kaba, Stanley, Gyrotech, Nabco, Horton, and others. Emergency response must be onsite within four hours, non-emergency response within five business days, and corrective-maintenance requests must receive a response within 24 hours. The contractor must employ a Besam-trained technician and an AAADM-certified technician, have access to Stanley MYQ technology, demonstrate five years of similar industry experience, comply with applicable safety and accessibility standards, and meet VA personnel credentialing, infection-control, and security requirements. The contract is firm-fixed-price with a one-year base period and four one-year option periods.
