Description
The City of Seattle is soliciting bids for construction of a shared-use path along the east side of 1st Ave NE between N 120th Street and N 130th Street. The base bid includes pavement and sidewalk removal, roadway paving, sidewalks, curb ramps, driveways, storm drainage, landscaping, channelization, signage, traffic control, utility-related work, and associated restoration. The project also includes electrical and rebar installation for bidder/subcontractor-list purposes. An additive scope includes electrical work, foundations, and pedestrian lighting, including new pedestrian poles, luminaires, wiring, conduits, handholes, trenching, and related foundations. The engineer's estimate is $2,800,000–$3,300,000 for the base bid and $270,000–$330,000 for the additive. Bids must include the owner's bid forms, pricing entered through the procurement portal, a bid guaranty, the recycled-materials proposal, the Inclusion Plan, and the Bidder/Subcontractor List. The project requires a 15% apprentice-utilization rate and a 5% bid guaranty; payment and performance bonding is required after award.
