Description
The Ticonderoga Natural Foods Cooperative, Inc. is soliciting proposals from qualified design-build construction firms for the renovation of its approximately 1,910 sq. ft. ground-floor retail grocery and commercial kitchen located at 109 Montcalm St., Ticonderoga, NY. The project scope includes a new storefront facade, completion of a commercial kitchen, interior reconfiguration for cafe seating, energy efficiency upgrades, electrical upgrades, and a safe rear egress. All work must comply with NYS Homes & Community Renewal (HCR) guidelines, SHPPO standards, ADA requirements, NYS Dept of Agriculture & Markets regulations, and all other applicable codes and regulations. Demonstrated experience with HCR-funded programs is preferred. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing both professional design and construction services. This includes, but is not limited to, two-story front facade renovation, commercial kitchen renovation, interior store renovation, building systems and energy efficiency upgrades, and site improvements. The project also requires coordination with owner-procured items such as kitchen equipment and refrigeration. Compliance with various regulations, licensure, and professional services are mandatory. A pre-proposal site visit is encouraged, and questions can be submitted in writing by June 15, 2026. The Cooperative strongly encourages proposals that include participation from Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB).
