Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a five-year personnel dosimetry service requirement supporting the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. The contractor must be National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) accredited and provide clip-on whole-body badges, ring badges, quarterly and monthly dosimeters, neutron and fetal monitoring, replacement and unreturned-badge processing, dose estimation, emergency processing, and duplicate and regulatory reports. Services include shipping badges for each wear period, analyzing exposed badges, reporting radiation results, maintaining archival exposure records, providing online account and data-management access, barcode scanning, and consultation by a qualified physicist. The requirement includes specified quantities of badges and reports, same-day emergency processing capability, exposure notifications, control badges, and delivery of badges at least 10 days before each use period. This is a Sources Sought/RFI notice rather than a solicitation for bids or proposals; respondents are asked to provide capability, manufacturing, business-size, authorization, qualification, contract-vehicle, and estimated-pricing information.
