Description
The City of Dania Beach is soliciting bids from a qualified contractor for Sidewalk Rehabilitation Phase II. The work includes demolition and lawful disposal of existing concrete sidewalks and driveway crossings; construction of four-inch pedestrian sidewalks and six-inch sidewalks at driveways, intersections, and heavy-loading areas; curb, curb-and-gutter, ramp, landing, transition-slope, and edge-beam work; reinforcement; detectable warning surfaces; and ADA accessibility improvements. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, maintenance of traffic, utility coordination, root removal or pruning when directed, unsuitable-material removal and replacement, restoration of asphalt, pavement markings, sod, landscaping, irrigation, mailboxes, and signs, as well as quality control, inspections, daily production logs, photographs, GPS repair locations, quantity tracking, and GIS-compatible documentation. The solicitation uses estimated unit quantities and includes a $47,975 owner-directed contingency. A five percent bid bond is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds. The work must comply with ADA standards, PROWAG guidelines, Broward County accessibility requirements, FDOT standards, MUTCD requirements, and applicable laws and permits.
