Description
Elkhart Community Schools seeks symmetrical internet access and data transmission at 12 Gbps, scalable to 15 Gbps, with guaranteed throughput to its head-end. The service must include approximately 100 public IPv4 addresses and any provider-owned onsite equipment needed for the handoff; fiber handoff is preferred. Proposals should describe the service pathway, any leased third-party lines, available resiliency, firewall and DDoS features, and any installation or special construction costs. Pricing must be provided in 1 Gbps increments and include recurring and nonrecurring costs, fees, and applicable discounts. The district prefers fixed monthly charges without separate upfront installation or construction costs and requires the selected provider to support E-Rate discounted invoicing. Respondents must submit a proposed SLA addressing availability, packet loss, latency, jitter, 24/7/365 trouble reporting, repair commitments, chronic trouble, and service reporting. The minimum stated commitment is a two-hour diagnosis and a four-hour temporary or permanent repair. The response must also include a detailed service and construction description with a timeline demonstrating delivery by July 1, complete pricing, the proposed SLA, three similar-service references, the provider’s E-Rate SPIN number, and a sample contract incorporating the proposal requirements and E-Rate contingencies. The requested contract term is three years, with up to two optional one-year extensions.
