Description
The City of Palm Desert is seeking a qualified full-service tourism marketing firm to provide strategic leadership and integrated execution across destination strategy, account management, creative and brand development, media planning and buying, public relations, social media, tourism email communications, website marketing, economic development marketing support, research, measurement, and analytics. The selected firm will strengthen the destination brand, attract qualified visitors, support local tourism businesses and visitor economic activity, and improve marketing effectiveness through coordinated campaigns and performance measurement. The engagement includes annual strategies and work plans; campaign concepts and creative assets; media placement and optimization; earned-media activities; management of tourism social-media accounts; email and website marketing support; research and analytics; accessibility-compliant public-facing materials; reporting and reconciliation of media expenditures; and transition of City-owned files, accounts, data, and creative assets. The annual working-media budget is approximately $550,000, separate from the annual maximum of $335,000 for firm services and related non-media costs. The initial agreement term is July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030, with up to two additional one-year renewal terms at the City's option. Addendum 1 clarifies that economic-development support should be priced at $0, subcontractors and outside resources are permitted, working media is reimbursed at actual net cost without markup, and the proposal should demonstrate methodology rather than provide speculative campaign work.
