Description
Rankin Independent School District is requesting proposals for maintenance and operations of its existing, district-owned fiber network. The requested data transmission service covers three entities, with capacity ranging from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps, and includes installation, initial configuration, maintenance, and technical support as applicable. The district is interested in a multi-year contract. Proposals must separate maintenance and operations costs from other service costs, include scalable bandwidth during the contract term, identify any applicable 811 line-location registration fees for buried facilities, and distinguish eligible from non-eligible services or products. Any special construction charges should include an installment-payment option of up to four years for the applicant's non-discounted share. Award decisions will consider price, vendor reputation, quality, fit with district needs, prior relationship with the district, and total long-term cost.
